SWR Fernsehen is a German regional television channel targeting the states of Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. It is produced by Südwestrundfunk (SWR) and is one of eight regional „third channels“ broadcast by the ARD members.
The channel started on 5 April 1969 as a collaboration between Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR), Südwestfunk (SWF) and SR named „Südwest 3“. SDR and SWF merged in 1998 to form SWR and the channel was renamed „Südwest Fernsehen“. The name „SWR Fernsehen“ was adopted in September 2006.

SWR Fernsehen ist das gemeinsame regionale Fernsehprogramm des Südwestrundfunks für die Länder Baden-Württemberg und Rheinland-Pfalz. Gemäß dem Staatsvertrag über den Südwestrundfunk wird bei mindestens 30 Prozent des laufenden Programms länderspezifisch auseinander geschaltet.
Die Landesprogramme des SWR Fernsehens werden aus Stuttgart (für Baden-Württemberg) und aus Mainz (für Rheinland-Pfalz) gesendet und betragen 30 Prozent vom Gesamtanteil. Die restlichen 70 Prozent werden zentral gestaltet, im Baden-Badener Play Out Center ausgespielt und sind in beiden Bundesländern zu sehen.
