Rockland Radio is a private radio station broadcasting from Mainz. The musical genre program mainly plays rock music from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s as well as guitar-heavy pop music. Since October 2013, the station has been advertising with the motto „best rock ‘n pop“. The station and Deutsche RockRadio GmbH were founded by musician colleagues Peter Maffay, Marius Müller-Westernhagen, Scorpions and Klaus Lage at the end of the 1990s.
