‘সময়ের সাথে আগামীর পথে’ এই স্লোগানে বাংলা ভাষা আর সংস্কৃতিকে ধারণ করে ৩ জুলাই ২০০৩ সালে আলহাজ্ব মোহাম্মদ মোসাদ্দেক আলী প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন দেশের প্রথম অটোমেশন-ভিত্তিক যুগোপযোগী বেসরকারি স্যাটেলাইট টেলিভিশন চ্যানেল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল টেলিভিশন চ্যানেল লি. (এনটিভি)।
এক সাগর রক্তের বিনিময়ে অর্জিত আমাদের এই বাংলাদেশ। সুখী, সমৃদ্ধ, বৈষম্যহীন, অসাম্প্রদায়িক দেশ গড়ার লক্ষ্য নিয়ে বাংলার আপামর জনসাধারণ ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়েছিল মুক্তিযুদ্ধে। ৩০ লাখ প্রাণ, বহু ত্যাগের বিনিময়ে আমরা পেয়েছি লাল-সবুজের পতাকা। দেশের দিগন্তে উদিত হয়েছে স্বাধীনতার রক্তিম সূর্য। তবে দেশ গড়ার সংগ্রাম চলছে এখনো। আমাদের কাঙ্ক্ষিত স্বপ্নের দেশ গড়ে তুলতে প্রয়োজন সমাজের চিন্তা, তথ্য, মত ও আলোচনা-সমালোচনার অবাধ প্রবাহ। প্রয়োজন নীতিভিত্তিক, জবাবদিহিমূলক ও সর্বোচ্চ মানের পেশাদারি সাংবাদিকতা। দেশের সেই সংগ্রামের সারথী হতে এনটিভি অঙ্গীকারবদ্ধ।
